About KISS

KISS (Kids Innovating Stage and Sound) Theatre Co. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation performing arts organization with the mission of educating, entertaining, and enriching the lives of young people through the arts of theatre, dance, and song.

Christa Manning, Producing Artistic Director, and Walter Mitchell, Chairman of the Board of Directors, founded KISS with the commitment to provide opportunities for all children to participate and learn through the art of theatre. Christa's work is inspired by the belief that children deserve the very best; that process and product are one; and that art and education can skillfully and sensitively conspire to share a common soul.

KISS maintains a comprehensive after-school performing arts curriculum, which includes, voice, dance, staging, costuming, lighting and singing, etc. and at the end of the program, the children perform a full-scale musical. This past year, we have successfully mounted such productions as Grease, Fiddler on the Roof Jr., Suessical Jr., Pirates of Penzance Jr. (just to name a few) in various locations though out the Wyoming Valley including Dallas, Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, Pittston, and Duryea.
