Policies and Procedures for joining KISS Theatre!

KISS Theatre Company is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all its students and staff members. We are bully-free zone for all children. At KISS,we believe that it is important that members, directors,staff and parents associated with the club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others. Therefore, students are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the workshop with any of the staff or administrators at KISS Theatre Company. As a member of KISS Theatre Company, you are expected to abide by the following junior code of practice: KISS Kids are expected to:
• Be loyal and give their friends a second chance.
• Be friendly and welcoming to new members.Honor our ensemble team spirit.
• Be supportive, respectful and committed to other castmembers, offer comfort when required.
• Show appropriate loyalty and be gracious during casting.
• Wear suitable rehearsal shoes and clothing.
• Keep within the defined boundary of the rehearsal area.
• Take care of rehearsal and performance spaces and equipment. Keep our theatre home tidy.
• Behave and listen to all instructions from the staff.
• Not get involved in inappropriate peer pressureand don’t push others into something they do not want todo. Refrain from bullying or persistent-use teasing.
• Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants,regardless of age, gender, ability, race, cultural backgroundor religious beliefs or sexual identity.
• Refrain from the use of bad language or racial/sectarianreferences. This includes bullying using new technologies like social media or texting.
• Challenge or report the bullying of your peers.
• Understand that no drugs or alcohol are allowed at any of the rehearsal or performance locations, at any time. If KISS students or staff members do not obey these rules, they will be immediately dismissed from the workshop.
• Report inappropriate behavior or risky situations to the staff or Artistic Director.
KISS Kids have the right to:
• Be heard.
• Be respected and treated fairly.
• Be safe and happy in their chosen activity.
• Their privacy.
• Enjoy their rehearsal in a safe environment.
• Participate on an equal basis, appropriate to their abilities.
• Ask for help.Any misdemeanors and general misbehavior will be addressed by the immediate Director and reported verbally to the Artistic Director. Persistent misbehavior will result in dismissal from the theatre workshop. Parents will be informed at all stages.Dismissals can be appealed by the Director with final decisions taken by Artistic Director or referred to the Board of Directors.

Please check your schedules with the rehearsals and show dates PRIOR to registering for a workshop as there will be NO REFUNDS AFTER THE WORKSHOP BEGINS.
If a child drops out of a workshop prior to the start they will be refunded tuition paid minus the $100 registration fee. ACCOUNTING@KISSTHEATRE.ORG must be notified.

All registration must be made online. You may qualify for Klarna or Afterpay to make a payment plan.
If you are filing for a scholarship, you must still pay the first $100.

This fee will get taken off at the register, but cannot be combined with vouchers or gift cards.
-If two children of the same family are registering for a regular workshop, there will be
a $50 discount for the second child.
-If three or more children of the same family are registering for a regular workshop, there will be
a $50 discount for the second child and a $75 discount for each additional child.
-If a child is participating in more than one workshop at the same time,
there will be a $50 discount on the second workshop.

If you are interested in applying for financial help that is available through our scholarship program, you must purchase the “Scholarship Registration” in our workshop store that aligns with the proper workshop.
All scholarship applications must be completed in full and submitted with a $100 registration fee.
You must bring all related tax and financial information in person. Submission through email WILL NOT be accepted. If you do not have all paperwork in by the time the workshop starts, you will not be permitted to attend rehearsal.
Scholarship applications are reviewed by a committee and will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. They are based upon need and kept completely confidential.
